Alford Herman White

WHITE, Mr. Alford Herman, 75, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. William Leverette, Rev. Stan Holt, and Rev. Kenny Horn officiating. Interment will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Atwood and Myrtle Schofield White. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emily A. White; two children, Lisa (Travis) Taylor and Byron White; three grandchildren, Mary Emily Taylor, Payton Elizabeth Taylor, and Allie Claire Taylor; two sisters, Nobie (Thomas) Beasley and Patricia (Ricky) Whitehead; & two brothers, Daniel Joe (Faye) White and Benny (Annie) White. Active pallbearers will be Michael Pruitt, Doug Brown, Cline Tidwell, Harold Russell, Bob Daughtery, Lamar Thomas, and Mike Dunn. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30pm until service time.
