Allison Jewell Bryan, 20, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in Crestview, Florida on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023. Funeral services for Allison will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 7th, at the First Baptist Church of Luverne with Brother Clay Crum officiating. Allison will then be laid to rest beside her father in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 AM.
Allison was a proud graduate of Luverne High School where she was thrilled to play the clarinet with the Marching Band from 6th grade through graduation. She also enjoyed attending several honor camps and competitions with them through the years. As a kid, she spent a lot of time with great-grandmother, Miss Glenna, and always loved going to the Glenwood Assembly of God with her. Later she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Luverne where she came to love her church family there. Allison always had a deep and abiding love for animals. In fact, she was about to start school to fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinary technician.
Allison was on this earth for far too brief a time, but during that time she impacted far more lives than she could have ever imagined. Everyone who knew her simply adored her. She was one of the kindest and sweetest souls the Lord has ever blessed this world with. Her heart was always open to everyone she met and she knew the secret to making all of them feel special. She also enjoyed embracing her inner goofball to make others laugh and brighten their day. Above all, Allison was a force of positivity and good in the lives of her family and friends for every one of her twenty years. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend who never failed to count the many blessings in her own life. She especially enjoyed her role as an aunt to her nieces and nephews and there was absolutely nothing she adored more than spending time with them. She leaves behind a legacy of love that should be an inspiration to all.
Allison was preceded in death by her father, Patrick S. Bryan; grandfather, Donald Hermeling; great-grandparents, Glenna & Charley Bryan; and god-grandfather, John Smith. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Donna Hermeling and Maurice Lee; siblings, Keith (Sasha) Hermeling, Kevin Hermeling (Dikshya Adhikari), and Nicole Quinn (Patrick Parks); nieces, Amya Arrington and Laura Hermeling; nephews, Jayden Arrington, Nathan Hermeling, and Jacob Ashley; grandparents, Peggy Hermeling, Marsha Smith, Linda Bryan, and Ricky (Peggy) Bryan; uncle, Danny Hermeling; uncle and aunt, Steve & Melissa Hermeling; first cousins, Brendan (Kayla) Hermeling, Joshua (Savannah) Hermeling, and Taylor Hermeling; a host of other extended family members and friends; and her beloved canine companion, Patty.
