Alvin Bernard Thomas

THOMAS, Mr. Alvin Bernard, 80, a resident of Lapine died Wednesday December 25, 2013. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday December 27, 2013 at Salem Church of Christ with Minister John Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian L. Thomas and his parents, Daniel and Lucy Posey Thomas. Survivors include three children, Cindy (William E.) Roper, Brenda (Steve) Newton, and Gary A. Thomas; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be William Roper, Steve Newton, Grant Roper, Cole Roper, Alex Tindal, and Gary Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Roper, Jon Austin Roper, and C.J. Faulk. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 1 pm until service time.
