MOSES, Mr. Andrew Jackson “ Jack”, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 following complications with congestive heart failure. Mr. Moses was born in southeast Alabama and raised in the Luverne/Fuller Crossroads area. He was the only son of Kirby “Mutt” Moses and Mildred Wagnon Moses. Jack loved the Lord with all his heart and, at the time of his death, was a faithful member of the Scenic Hills Church of Christ. He and his wife were also former members of the Warrington Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday February 8, 2013 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Kyle Rye, pulpit minister at Scenic Hills, officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Moses is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Arrilla Moses and John Birch and Daisy Davis Wagnon, his parents, and his only son , who was unnamed. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Barr Moses; his daughter, Naomi (Jerry) Pinney and their children, Autumn Cherry, Heather White(her son Andy) and grandson, Blake Pinney, all of Pensacola, FL; his daughter, Mary (Jeff) Powell and their children, Grayson and Garrett Taylor and Justin and Amber Powell, all of Virginia Beach, VA; and his sister, Gail (Riley) Perrett, and her children, Rena (Tom) Compton and John (Saundra) Perrett. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Ard, Wayne Born, Joe Rigby, Herb Smith, Dean Taylor and Johnny Waldroup. Phillip Bradley will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 am until service time.
