COOK, Mrs. Annie Lucy Pouncey, 93, a resident of Bradleyton, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 7, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Parker Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, William Warren Cook, an infant son, parents, Andrew Jackson and Catherine Lousia Stough Pouncey, five sisters, Monteria Gregory, Lucille Jackson, Pauline Leatherwood, Mattie Brewer, and Mary Clark, and six brothers, Claude Pouncey, Leo Pouncey, Pete Pouncey, Baxter Pouncey, Charlie Pouncey, and an infant brother. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila (Donnie) Atkinson and Cathy (Robert) McGough, and two grandchildren, April Atkinson and Randy McGough. The family would like to thank the staff of both Luverne Health and Rehabilitation and Crenshaw Community Hospital for their loving care and support. Active pallbearers will be Clarence “CP” Pouncey III, Craig Pouncey, George Browder, Willie Lee Burgans, Randy McGough, and Chris Clark. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 - 2pm.
