Annie Jewell Crook

CROOK, Mrs. Annie Jewell Burgans, 84, a resident of Rutledge died Wednesday December 31, 2014. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Vernledge Cemetery. Mrs. Crook is preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Burgans and Alvin Crook; two daughters, Helen Boswell and Dorothy Hose; and two sons, Charles Burgans and James Allen Burgans. Survivors include five daughters, Annette Cox, Audrey Hughes, Sylvia Pope, Diane Wilbert, and Mary Batchelor; four sons, Wayne Burgans, David Burgans, Willie Burgans, and Haywood Burgans; thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; a sister, Faye McCarthy; and four brothers, Lamar Furr, Doug Furr, Howard Furr, and J.W. Furr. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at the service hour on Sunday. Turner Funeral Home of Luverne in charge of arrangements.
