Betty Gail Bray

BRAY, Mrs. Betty G., 80, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Burns officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Bray was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Bray; grandson, Heath Lowery; parents, Lonnie and Grace Maddox; three sisters, Hazel Hosier, Mary Lou Adkinson, & Madge Maddox; and brother, Harris Maddox. She is survived by three children, Audee (Harold) Lowery, Tram Bray, Becky (David) Smyth; four grandchildren, Misty (Brad) Meredith, Courtney Smyth, Alex Bray, and Gage Bray; two great-grandchildren, Brady & Pete Meredith; and friend and caregivers, Jean Bowen and Laura Simpson. Active pallbearers will be Harold Lowery, David Smyth, Brad Meredith, George Tranum, Larry Smith, and Denny Williams. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Luverne First Baptist Church or one’s favorite charity. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30am.
