Betty Strange Compton

COMPTON, Mrs. Betty Strange, 78, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016. Funeral services for Mrs. Compton will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 21, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Compton, grandson, Francis Matthew Hebert, and her parents, Harold and Donna Ayers Strange. She is survived by four children, John (Susie) Compton, Bruce (Val) Compton, Gina (Keith) Chartier, and Debra (Tom) Crowell, seven grandchildren, Callie Compton, Barrett Compton, Jamie Walden, Britani Manning, Nicholas Newton, Matalyne Chartier, and Anna Chartier, and her brother, Harold Watson Strange, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 – 8pm.
