Mrs. Betty Mount Dickey, 82, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Funeral services for Mrs. Dickey will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 12, at Word of Faith Church in Brantley, Alabama with Rev. Keith Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Dickey loved God, her family, and her church above all else. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who also spent many years as the owner and operator of the Glenwood Cafe. Her reputation for always putting the needs of others above her own will live on in the memories of all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Dickey was truly the embodiment of a good and faithful servant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dickey; parents, Joseph and Emma Everage Mount; and three siblings, Mary McLeod, Johnny Mount, and David Mount. Mrs. Dickey is survived by her three loving sons, Tim (Becky) Dickey, Kenny (Martha) Dickey, and Joey (Sandy) Dickey; eight grandchildren, Audrea (Earl) Thompson, Amanda (Chad) Gregory, Heather (Chris) Hale, Rebekah (Marc) Riordan, Joe (Amber) Dickey Jr, Sydni Dickey, Trey Dickey, and Madyson Dickey; thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Juanita Colquett; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Morgan, Hagan Morgan, Mickey Kelley, Greg Carley, Chris Hale, and Chad Gregory. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to her church, Word of Faith, 122 Wyatt Street, Brantley, Alabama 36009. They will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 - 2pm.
