EDWARDS, Mr. Billy Ray, 71, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Edwards will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 16, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Moses and Rev. Neal Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Edwards proudly served his country with the United States Air Force and the National Guard. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 32 years with them. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Sr and Marie Black Edwards. He is survived by his loving son, Scott (Gina) Edwards; Scott’s mother, Janice Edwards; and his brother, Claude Edwards Jr. Active pallbearers will be Terry Stephens, Keith Stephens, Brent Cosby, Gregg Ramer, Keith Burleson, and Allen Teele. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 - 11 AM.
