Billy D. " Lucky " Haws

HAWS, Billy Dwain “Lucky”, 77, a resident of Brantley, AL died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11 AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Horn and Rev. John Holley officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Haws is preceded in death by his parents, Roney B. & Rachel Everage Haws, and his brother, Gerald L. Haws. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Julia Clark Haws; three children, Jackie (Michael) Barnes, Kathi (Gerald) Wallace, and Stan (Patsy) Haws; six grandchildren, Nathan (Cody) Nichols, Shane, Chase, and Clay Haws, Rachel and Braxton Barnes; and four great grandchildren. Grandsons and T.J. Defee will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Hollis and Willie Smith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
