Obituary

Bobbie Owens Brown, 88, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her son's home on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, while surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Bobbie will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1st, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Clay Crum officiating. She will then be laid to rest beside her husband in New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

Bobbie was a proud graduate of Highland Home School where she loved playing basketball. She went on work as a data entry operator for the State of Alabama for over 25 years until her retirement. She was an adoring Grandmama or Nanny Brown to her beloved grandchildren, who love sharing stories of her strong-willed and sassy personality. She was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, especially their football and basketball teams. She also loved her old country music, and she was never moving anywhere without her Elvis CDs! Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to the family who was her heart and soul throughout her life. She will be missed more than words could possibly express, but her memory will be held closely in their hearts and minds for many more years to come.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Glenn Brown; parents, M.S. & Flossie Summerlin Owens; and sister, Patsy Brown. She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Elton & Brenda Brown and Randall & Peggy Brown; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lindsey) Brown, Jessica (Ty) Jones, Raven Brown (Selleven Burnett), and Johni (Jesse) Householder; great-grandchildren, Ansley, Lydia, & Jeb Brown, Mary Katherine, Bryson, & Ellie Jones, Kaloni Burnett, and John & Rowan Householder; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Active pallbearers Jeremy Brown, Trent Brown, Jamie Brown, Frank Brown, Ty Jones, Allen Hatten, and Knox Vaughn.
