Bobby Earl Lowe

March 29, 1952 — October 2, 2022

Lapine

Mr. Bobby Earl Lowe, 70, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home while surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. Funeral services for Mr. Lowe will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 5th, at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette and Rev. Howard Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 4th, from 6 - 8 PM.

Mr. Lowe began working at the tender age of 16 in 1968 in furniture manufacturing and continued there for many decades until 2006. He then went to work for J.M. Harrison Reality until he finally retired in 2020. In his free time, there were few things he enjoyed more than collecting antiques and what he fondly referred to as his "treasures." He especially loved showing off his extensive collection of "old money" to anyone willing to be entertained by his rapt adoration of collecting. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly going to his pond to cast a line for a few fish. He was also a faithful member of Magnolia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

Mr. Lowe had a gregarious and loving personality. He was extremely outgoing, claiming strangers were just friends he hadn't met yet. In fact, he was always at his happiest in the times he was able to spend in fellowship with his family, friends, and church family. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was the established pillar of his family. They always knew they could rely upon him and never doubted how much he loved them. He will be sorely missed beyond measure, but his loved ones will find comfort in knowing he has gone on to his Heavenly reward with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emma Victoria Lowe; parents, Henry "Booner" & Ruby Mae "Polly" Frazier Lowe; and sister, Mary Ann Cleckley. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Elaine Pouncey Lowe; their sons & daughters-in-law, Steven & Regina Lowe and Dereck & Sophie Lowe; grandchildren, Sterling Lowe (Alycia Newman), Dalton Lowe, Haley Peavy, Danielle Caffey, Wesley Peavy, William Lowe, and Braden Lowe; great-grandchildren, Jimmy Lowe, August Lowe, Marley Brown, O'Rya Lowe, and Addison Lowe; siblings, Michael (Cornelia) Lowe, Thomas (Rosemary) Lowe, and Linda (David) Tadlock; brother-in-law, Otis Cleckley; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Lowe, Dalton Lowe, Sterling Lowe, Wesley Peavy, Bobby Belcher, Donny Frazier, Kenny Smith, and Kenny Wayne Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Lindsey, Calvin Kendrick, Jake "Duck" Vickers, Michael Smith, Eddie Paul Frazier, and Tim McGough.
