Mr. James Robert “Bobby” Jeffcoat, 78, a resident of Goshen, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Jeffcoat will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 8, at Campground Methodist Church with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Jeffcoat spent most of his life working his own farm, and he also retired from the City of Luverne Street & Sanitation Department after 41 years of service. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing. He was a loving husband, brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Gaston “Buddy” Sr and Mary Ethel Butts Jeffcoat, and his two brothers, Horace M. Jeffcoat and Raymond G. Jeffcoat Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Joyce Pate Jeffcoat; stepdaughter, Melissa (Bill) Robertson; four step-grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, Grace, and Dawn Robertson; four nieces and nephews, Jessica (James) Bowlan, Justin (Samantha) Wood, Raymond Gaston Jeffcoat III, and Buddy (Adrianna) Jeffcoat; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews, T.J., Jackson, Aubrey, Kadyn, Dalton, Lexie, Justin, Hailey, Natalie, and Avelyn.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Wyrosdick, Jimmy Wyrosdick, Kenny Stephens, Dusty Free, Bill Roberson, and Joseph Roberson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 7, from 6 - 8pm.
