Mr. Bobby Earl Lowe, 69, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, unexpectedly passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023.
Bobby aimed high from a young age! While most teenagers were still out partying and having a good time, an 18 year-old Bobby was busy starting his own company, G & S Materials Services, Inc. "Road Boss Kid," as he was known by his very appropriate CB handle, defied all odds and expectations by making his company successful and profitable until he finally sold it and retired in his 60s. He was definitely strong-willed and tough, as anyone would have to be to run a trucking company from such a young age, but he proved more than up to the task, because if there was one thing Bobby was going to be, it was in charge! His love of trucks extended to his personal life as he was a diehard Ford lover, however it was well known that his favorite color was John Deere Green.
There were few things that Bobby enjoyed more than working his land, but his favorite thing was tending to his horses. And, like any good horseman, he definitely had favorites, Black Jack and Blue. He also enjoyed other outdoor activities like fishing when he was younger, however, he far preferred watching the deer that wandered around his home than hunting them. Above all, Bobby was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He never failed to count the blessings in his life, and considered his family to be the greatest treasure in the world. He especially cherished his children and grandchildren, as they did him. Nothing can prepare you for the sudden loss of a loved one, but his family will look for solace in the lifetime of precious memories they made together.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Louise Herring Lowe. He is survived by his children, Alicia (Michael) Cabrera and Justin (Jamalyn) Lowe; grandchildren, Austin Cabrera, Ashton Cabrera, Georgia-Lynn Lowe, and Wyatt Lowe; father, R.C. Lowe; siblings, Junior (Mary) Lowe, Janice Lowe Taylor (Terry) Hayslip, Jesse Ray Lowe, Patricia L. (Wayne) Burgans, and Jean (Walter) Tillery; a host of nieces and nephews; and his best friend, longtime companion, and the mother of his children, Cindy Lowe.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later time.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org or Shriner's Hospital for Children at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org.
