Bobby Joe Moses

MOSES, Mr. Bobby Joe, 78, a resident of Luverne, Alabama and former resident of Howell, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Moses will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 17, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Grimes and Rev. Mike Moses officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Moses was a lifelong sports fan and participant. He was the founder of the Youth Tackle Football League in Howell, and he was an avid golfer in his later life. Mr. Moses was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Daryl Moses, and his parents, Eirby Enoch and Gladys Simpler Moses. He is survived by his four children, Charles Duane Moses, Ricky Alan Moses, Susan Lynett Moses, and Keith (Amy) Moses, six grandchildren, Joshua (Katrina) Moses, Ashley (Ryan) Weiss, Scott Alan Moses, Ryan Moses, Shane Moses, and Chelsea Moses, one great-granddaughter, Karli Moses, two sisters, Brenda (Don) Whitmer and Barbara Mitchell, and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Ryan Moses, Shane Moses, Garrett Mitchell, Rayn Owens, Ronnie Jeffcoat, Kline Jeffcoat, Tom Perdue, and Andy Palmer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Brantley High School for the formation of a Golf Team. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 16, from 6 – 8 PM.
