Rutledge

Mrs. Brenda Killough White, 75, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Friday, December 24th, 2021.

Brenda attended Troy State University before going to work as a medical secretary for the chief of staff at the Montgomery branch of the Veterans Administration. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi. After her retirement, Brenda found plenty of ways to keep herself entertained as she indulged in her talent for organizing tours and events. She was a spirited, fun-loving kind of woman who always knew how to make anything fun. Brenda was always moving and going, and she especially loved to travel to fun places and interesting sites. In fact, she was in the process of planning another trip just before she passed.

Brenda loved getting up card games, as well as going on shopping trips, either to big stores or great thrift shops. She was also very supportive of the arts, and loved attending movies, plays, and dinner theater. She was especially generous and loved to shower those she loved with thoughtful gifts. She adored her family, and was the glue that always held everything together. Though never blessed with children of her own, she loved to shower love and affection on her stepson, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was such a very special person and she will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Frank White, and parents, Ivie Winford & Vaudie Lenore Odum Killough. She is survived by her stepson, Mike White Sr; grandson, Michael White Jr; siblings, Dianne Killough (Waylon) Catrett, Ivie Wayne (Jewel) Killough, and Gary Winford Killough (David Parello); nieces & nephews, Jill Ingalls Stallworth, John Barrington (Victoria) Catrett, and Gregory Wayne Killough; great-nieces & nephews, Brittany Ingalls (Billy) Godoy, Addie & Brady Catrett, Carey (Kat) Stallworth, and John Duncan (Tori) Stallworth; great-great-nieces & nephews, Sally, Marley, & Rauls Godoy, Steven & Margot Stallworth, & Charlotte Stallworth; special friend, Terry Watson; and her caregiver & friend, Jamie Dixson.
