Brantley

Brian Keith Peek, 65, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Flowers Hospital in Dothan on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024. A celebration of Brian's life will be held at a later time.

Brian was definitely a one-of-a-kind type of soul. He had the remarkable gift of being able to find the humor in any situation or circumstance and could easily laugh at himself. Regardless of where he went or what the event was, Brian was typically always the center of attention as he always spoke to everyone in the room and kept them all in stitches. Obviously, he was quite the extrovert with a gregarious streak a mile long. His stories usually revolved around the job he was so immensely proud of, being a truck driver. He knew how crucial his work was to keep this country running and he never slacked off on it. In fact, he loved his job so much that it was his favorite thing to discuss whenever he had the opportunity, whether that was a funny story from the road during his travels or simply how the job works/should be done. To all the friends he made far and wide on the CB, Brian was simply "Double Shot," but his favorite term of endearment was "driva" and he used it for just about everyone. In his free time, if Brian wasn't on his bike, you could probably find him at one of his favorite fishing holes over the years. Above all, he was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who made the world a much more entertaining place every moment he was here.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, James Kenneth Peek. He is survived by his mother, Opal Wallace Peek; brother, Gary Peek; niece, Dana (Parker) Wallace; great-nephew, Kyte Wallace; and numerous extended family members and friends.
