Mr. Wendell “Bud” Mount, 59, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 12, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 15, in Rutledge Cemetery with Brother Jason Holladay officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who will be dearly missed. He worked as a superintendent in pipeline construction for much of his life, and was honored to once serve on the city council in his hometown of Rutledge. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Rob Mount, and two brothers, Larry Mount and Kenny Mount. He is survived by his wife of almost 16 years, Debbie Mount; his two children, Amber Jordan and R.T. Mount; two grandchildren, Maggie Mount and Dalton Jordan; his mother, Annie Pearl Baker; four siblings, Charles (Theresa) Mount, Gary Mount, Judy Mount, and Junior (Sharon) Mount; three stepchildren, Norma Gantt, Tara Gantt, and Crystal (Brandon) Defee; and four step-grandchildren, Austin, Ethan, Heidi, and Tanner. Active pallbearers will be Timmy Worley, Robert “Bo” Mount, Dusty Jordan, Michael “Dumpy” Boswell, Eric “The Dog” Stephens, Kenny Booth, and Johnathan Bagents. The family will receive friends on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Pearl Baker, 119 Holland Bridge Road, Rutledge, beginning at 6pm.
