Byron W. Berger, 71, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, while surrounded by his family. A celebration of Byron's life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, March 29th, at Reviving Ministries with Pastor Ruby Beck officiating.
Byron spent his professional career as an electrician in the construction industry where he always worked hard to excel at his profession. He was determined to do the best job he could since he was a perfectionist by nature and firmly believed that any job worth doing was worth doing well. He was also extremely patriotic so he served in any way he could, including working as a volunteer for the Young Marines for 10 years and being a mentor to anyone who needed one. Everyone who knew Byron knew they could always depend on him because he was a man of his word and was generous to a fault with those in need.
At home, no one was better when it came to planning and starting a project....but not always the best at finishing said projects! Most importantly, Byron was a kind and generous man who was also very strong in his faith in his Lord. He loved his church at Reviving Ministries and was a faithful member there. He also was a huge fan of just about anything on four wheels whether it was his prized Mustang, monster trucks, or even model cars. Above all, Byron was a devoted husband, father, and "PaPa" to the grandchildren who were the delight of his heart. Words cannot express how much he was adored by all those who knew and loved him, nor how much he will be sorely missed, but comfort can be found in knowing he is at peace at last while safe in the arms of his loving Savior.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Dorothy Avara Berger, and brother, Bill Berger. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carolyn Custard Berger; their daughters & sons-in-law, Casey Berger & Brandon Sychla and Kelsey & James Jewell; grandchildren, Junah, Carter, Cody, and Tatum; sisters, Debbie Schneider & Bridget Wood; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
