Carolyn Byrd Tomberlin

TOMBERLIN, Mrs. Carolyn Byrd, 79, a resident of Glenwood died suddenly Sunday May 18, 2014. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday May 21, 2014 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Butts and Rev. Bernie Enzor officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Tomberlin is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph K. “Tubby” Tomberlin; her parents, Clarence and Nora Simmons Byrd; two brothers, Paul Byrd and James Byrd; niece, Debra T. Moody; and a nephew, James E. Byrd, Jr. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia T. and Todd Parker; granddaughter, Madison Caroline Parker; sister, Lalar B. ( Wilburn ) Tomberlin; and two brothers, Max T. (Toni) Byrd and Charlie J. Byrd. Active pallbearers will be Vernon Moody, Clint Byrd, Mike Byrd, Steve LaBoe, Johnny Nichols, and T.J. Morrow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30pm until service time.
