Cathy Lynn Ward

WARD, Mrs. Cathy Lynn, 59, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 2, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Ronny Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Hill Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Ward worked as a mortgage auditor for Regions Bank for over 20 years, but her most beloved job in life was as “MawMaw” to her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Russell and Deloris Irene Gates Garrett. Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, Byron Ward, two children, Laura Ashley (William) Green and Fred Russell Aaron Fuhrer, granddaughter, Lonna Lane Green, two brothers, Jimmy (Annie Lee) Garrett and Tommy (Gwen) Garrett, and numerous nephews, cousins, and friends. Active pallbearers will be William Green, James Garrett, Dalton Garrett, Danny Gillman, David Harris, and Jon McMahon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 – 11 AM.
