Mrs. Cecilia Codillia Bello Santiago, 67, a resident of Luverne, Alabama and formerly of Morong Rizal, Philippines, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Mrs. Santiago was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising her family and making sure they always had a loving home to grow up in. That dedication extended to helping to care for her grandchildren later in life. In her free time, she had a marvelous green thumb that she used to raise a beautiful garden around her home. She also enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for her family. She was a devoted Christian who spent a good deal of time in prayer to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family will miss her terribly, but they will find comfort in the lifetime of memories they made together.
Mrs. Santiago was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel Lao & Salome Codilla Bello. She is survived by her husband, Angel Ramos Santiago; their eleven children, Eva S. Delaza, Abelardo Santiago, Garry (Gay) Santiago, Roselle (Antonio) Soriano, Monette Miller (Joshua Reeves), Jason (Era) Santiago, Jacqueline Santiago (Andy Candel), Michael (Sas) Santiago, Basil (Kris Ann) Santiago, Lea Santiago, and Dwight John Santiago (Dulce Casa); twenty-three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service for Mrs. Santiago will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, April 25th, at Rutledge Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating.
