Charles H. Knox

KNOX, Mr. Charles H., 78, a resident of Luverne died Monday, October 25, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday,October 27, 2010 at the Luverne First Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Burns and Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Knox is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Sarah McDougald Knox and a sister, Betty Knox Hicks. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carole Knox; three sons, Chuck ( Frances ) Knox, Mark ( Vicki ) Knox and Joey ( Sonya ) Knox; eight grandchildren, Brandy Smith, Heather Smith, Suzanne (Tim) Lowery, Caroline Knox, Katie Knox, Will Knox, Frances Abbott Knox and Jolee Knox; two great grandchildren, Amy and Nicole Lowery. Active pallbearers will be Hal Williams, Ken Williams, Nick Dawkins, Terry Cauthen, William McDougald and John Larry McDougald. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Luverne First Baptist Church and his breakfast friends. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Luverne First Baptist Church or Crenshaw Christian Academy.
