Charles Herbert Mothershed

MOTHERSHED, Mr. Charles Herbert, 76, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 20, in Mt. Zion (The Lodge) Cemetery with Rev. Jim Looney officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Mothershed was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Webb and Ida Mae McCullough Mothershed, two brothers, W.I. Mothershed and Cecil Mothershed, and two sisters, Ida Bell Sims and Ella Ruth Beasley. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edwina Ballard Mothershed, son, Milton Roland Mothershed, granddaughter, Murry Allene Mothershed, two step-grandsons, Garrison Stojak and Bryan Mark Blessing III, two brothers, John Henry (Viola) Mothershed and Glen Mothershed, and two sisters, Ruby Sexton and Mary R. Muldar. Active pallbearers will be Pat Gregory, Rusty Gregory, Dwayne Owens, Ralph Wilkerson, Dustin Horn, and Myles Horn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 – 8pm.
