WOOD, Mr. Charles Gaston, 74, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. A funeral service for Mr. Wood will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 23, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Marion Tabor officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Wood was a lifelong farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Winnie Pearl Jackson Wood and two sisters, Ada May Pritchett and Eva Moman. Mr. Wood is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elaine Smith Wood; three sons, David (Debra) Wood, Jason (Kim) Wood, and Jerrod (Selena) Wood; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Sue Blake; brother, Dick Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 - 2pm.
