Chester Monroe Best

Chester Monroe Best Jr, 90, a resident of Elba, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama on Friday, July 5th, 2024. A chapel service will be held for Chester at 2 PM on Monday, July 8th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brenda Johnson offering the eulogy. There will be no interment service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday for one hour prior to the service.

Chester was preceded in death by his loving wife, Olene Best; parents, Chester Monroe Sr & Iva Merle Tillery; and siblings, Gaynell Price, Barbara Sue Lowery, and Stanley Best. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Stockman, Calista (Allen) DuBose, and Eulene (Johnny) Berry; grandchildren, Adam Stockman, Victoria Stockman, Tristan (Charity) DuBose, Rebecca DuBose, Kadra (Rory) Vignola, and Tyler Berry; great-grandchildren, Adela Vignola, Aubree Mount, Kingston Parks, Kashton Parks, Oliver Stockman, and Xander Stockman; siblings, Burl (Eunice) Best, Randall Best, and Winnie Merle Williamson; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
