Claude Layfette Mcgough

MCGOUGH, Mr. Claude Layfette, 81, a resident of Honoraville died Sunday October 3, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday October 6, 2010 at the Union Baptist Church with Rev. William Burns and Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. McGough is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Bea Powell McGough and a son, Donald Lee McGough. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Gafford and Patty (Roger) Tindoll; six sons, Ricky (Betty) McGough, Kenneth (Debbie) McGough, Raymond (Kathy) McGough, Robert (Cathy) McGough, Dan (Lori) McGough and J.W. (Nita) McGough; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, John R. McGough. The sons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Tindoll, Robert Gafford, Sonny Gregory and Al Sexton. The body will lie-in-state at the Church for 30 minutes prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 pm until 8 pm.
