Claude Rutledge Morgan

MORGAN, Mr. Claude R. “Mike,” Jr., 69, a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Frazier United Methodist Church with Rev. John Ed Mathison and Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Vernledge Cemetery at 1PM with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Sarah Davis Morgan. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice Johnson Morgan; two sons, Troy Michael Morgan and Justin Rutledge (Cameron) Morgan; two grandchildren, Mary Rutledge Morgan and Sarah James Morgan; sister, Vivian (Preston) Walker; and two special caregivers, Reginald Trawick and Cassandra Barnes. The family would like to especially thank Home Instead Senior Care and Amedisys Hospice of Montgomery. They request that memorial donations may be made to Frazier UMC in Christ Way Fund, Vernledge Cemetery, or one’s favorite charity. Active pallbearers will be Tony Walker, Jonathan Bagents, Chris Johnson, Joey Johnson, Gary Johnson, Bill Daughtery, Mike MacDonald, and Ray Little. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the young men who Mike coached over the years. The family will receive friends at Frazier United Methodist Church on Sunday from 4-6pm.
