Clydie Atwell Flowers

FLOWERS, Mrs. Clydie Atwell, 87, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Funeral services for Mrs. Flowers will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 18, at Brunson Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Johnnie Jones and Rev. Westley Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Brunson Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her husband, Karon Flowers, son, Dwanice Owens, parents, Lucious and Elvira Atwell, and sister, Carrie Flowers. She is survived by five children, Janice (Charles Hall) Edison, Kenneth (Nancy) Owens, Marilyn (Peanut) Kennedy, Vickie White, and Kyle (Kelly) Flowers, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister, Clemmie Hudson, and brother, Clayborn (Katherine) Atwell. Active pallbearers will be Bill Flowers, Joe Flowers, Bill Baggett, Pat Horn, Keith Stephens, and David Dunn. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 – 3pm.
