Connie Michelle Jenkins

Ms. Connie Michelle Jenkins, 56, a resident of Dozier, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by her family after a tremendous battle with cancer on Saturday, November 5th, 2022.

Michelle was a proud graduate of Troy University where she earned a bachelor's degree in both Criminology and Psychology. Following her graduation, she became a dedicated social worker where she worked so hard to make the lives of others better. In her free time, she found some of her greatest joy walking along the shore and collecting seashells as she indulged in her lifelong love of the beach. She was also an avid reader and loved a variety of music genres. Her education also inspired her fascination with True Crime movies, books, etc. In recent years, she also enjoyed watching various celebrity chefs on the Food Network. Most of all, she truly loved her family and will always be remembered as the most loving and kind mother, daughter, grandmother, niece, and cousin that anyone could ever ask for. She exemplified the spirit of a true fighter in these last few years and leaves behind a remarkable inspiration for all those who knew and loved her.

Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Morgan Adams, grandparents, Rufus & Mary Adams and Johnny & Louise Morgan; and uncle, Steve Morgan. She is survived by her beloved children, Summer (Matthew) Holmes, Skylar Jenkins, and Chase Jenkins; grandchildren, Remi Lou Holmes & Rhett Holmes; father, Connie Adams; aunts, Shirley Warrick and Denise Morgan; uncle, Rusty Adams; and cousins, Dionne Johnson, Jeff Warrick, Lisa Harris, Stevie Morgan, and Stephanie Morgan.

There is no public service planned at this time. According to Michelle's wishes, the family will have only a small, private memorial service at a later time.
