THORNTON, Mrs. Conrad Dean Flowers Fowler, 76, a resident of Brantley died Friday May 6, 2011. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday May 9, 2011 at the Luverne First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Keith Price, Rev. Steve Defee and Rev. Mitch Mares officiating. Interment will follow in Brunson Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Thornton is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Horn Flowler; parents, Frank and Novella Catrett Flowers; and four brothers, Aaron, Bill, Karon and Jimmy Royce Flowers. Survivors include her husband, Odis W. Thornton; two sisters, Faye (Tommy) Horn and Mary Katherine (Clayborn) Atwell; four brothers, Marriel (Elaine) Flowers, William (Mary) Flowers, Joe C. (Sandra) Flowers and Wendell (Audrey) Flowers; and a host of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Patrick Horn, Samuel K. Thornton, Greg Flowers, John Moseley, Timothy Folmar and Justin Bradley. The body will lie-in-state at the church for 30 minutes prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 pm until 7 pm.
