Mr. Curtis "Curt" Daniel Senn, 67, a lifelong resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away far too soon at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023. Funeral services for Curt will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 20th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in the Bullock Community with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday for one hour prior to the service.
Curt was a proud graduate of the Class of 1974 of Brantley High School and remained a lifelong #1 Brantley Bulldog fan. You could always count on him to keep you updated on game scores and what was going on. In his younger days, he was everyone's favorite addition to their church league softball team because he was not only ambidextrous when it came to hitting, but he was one of the fastest players in the league. He was also a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and NASCAR, especially his favorite driver Rusty Wallace. He went on in his adult life to become an HVAC Technician and had a gift for working on just about anything mechanical when it came to repairs. He was beloved by his co-workers from both his company and then from his years at the Shell Station in Brantley. In fact, those very co-workers will be honored to carry him to his final resting place on Monday.
There's no truer statement than the one his doctor recently relayed to his family: "The world would be a far better place if it had more Curt Senns in it." It's an understatement to say that he was a cherished fixture in his community. You probably couldn't find anyone more likable than Curt. He was just an easygoing and friendly guy. He possessed an even-tempered personality that was extremely difficult to provoke, though hurting a member of his family could do it. He was dedicated to his family. He was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Curt was just a stand-up and dependable guy, who never failed to display his love for his family by always being there for them no matter what. He has left them far too soon, but they will forever hold his smiling face and loving heart as a cherished memory in their hearts and minds.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Theron Douglas & Annie Laura Bryan Senn, and siblings, Mary Ann McLendon & Douglas Windham Senn. He is survived by his treasured partner, Elaine Hudson; children, Timothy (Brittany) Senn, Kalli (Byree) Jeffers, Kayla (Daniel) Mitchell, and Austin Hudson; grandchildren, Eli Senn, Dawson Senn, Waylon Jeffers, Walker Jeffers, Lincoln Mitchell, and Noah Mitchell; siblings, Judy (Larry) Mitchell, Patricia (Scott) Beck, Ellen (John) Cavender, Charles (Kathy) Senn, Johnny (Melanie) Senn, Ronnie McLendon, and Marsha Senn; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Mitch Foster, Gerald Boyd, Mark Johns, Justin Poole, Mike Henson, and Brad Short. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashton Senn and Casey Mitchell.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staffs of both Luverne Health & Rehabilitation and Crenshaw Community Hospital for their loving care of Curt during his illness.
