Mrs. Daisy Allen Adams, 92, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Mrs. Adams loved her Lord, and encouraged others to “get to know” her Savior. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her beloved family. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, and what she fondly referred to as “junkin.” She also loved to cook, and thoroughly enjoyed hosting picnics for herself and others. She considered coffee one of God’s greatest gifts! Finally, she also enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, and sight-seeing. She adored her pets, but her greatest joy was spoiling her family.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Watson Adams Sr; parents, Sidney Joe and Mary Myrl Bryan Allen; and three siblings, Lloyd Allen, Glen Allen, and Gladys Edsel Allen Campbell.
She is survived by her three children, Geissla (Donnie) Holmes, Cathy (Claude) Adams, and Mike (Pam) Adams Jr; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Bowen, Candice (Steven) Foster, Alex Adams, Amy (Gaither) Moman, and Ashley Whittington; four great-grandchildren, Benjamin Bowen, Logan Foster, Conner Joe Foster, and Noah Whittington; and her sister, Violet Allen McAhren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Country Place of Greenville, Mrs. Reba Sexton, and Mrs. Pam Adams for their tender care of Mrs. Adams during her last days.
Active pallbearers will be Steven Foster, Mike Sexton, Mike Bowen, Alex Adams, Donnie Holmes, and Claude Adams.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
