Daniel Phillip Wilson

Daniel Phillip Wilson, 75, a resident of Eclectic, Alabama, was found deceased in his home on Thursday, March 6th, 2025. A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 22nd, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Moses officiating.

Daniel loved few things more than fishing, which meant that living on Lake Martin was like living in a dream for him. He also an avid fan of music in every facet of his life. He loved playing the guitar and singing along while he was living his dream.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Bell Wilson, and his parents, Jack & Martha Sanders Wilson. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Melissa & Frank Matarrese; grandchildren, Joshua David, Julianna Danielle, Charlsi Kathleen, and Carter Braxton; great-grandchildren, Colton Daniel & Hayden Alexander; siblings, Paul (Faye) Wilson, Linda Young Beck, Jean Batchelor, and Susan Riley; nieces, Jenny, and Jennifer; and nephews, Derek Wilson, Michael, and Steven.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your local animal shelter due to his overwhelming fondness for strays he constantly fed and took care of.
