Mrs. Daphne Ryals Reynolds, 90, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully at the Orchard Rehabilitation & HealthCare System in Hayneville on Friday, October 2, 2020. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later time.
Mrs. Reynolds was definitely one of a kind. She was a spitfire who always lived life to the fullest. She had a gregarious personality and could keep anyone entertained for hours with her stories, some of which were actually true. She worked for many years as the administrative assistant for the vice president of Gayfers in Mobile, Alabama, and thoroughly enjoyed her career. She was never one to stay in one place for very long, enjoying traveling to other parts of the country often. No matter what, she was always dressed her best, and was never without her most important accessory, a brilliant smile. In her free time, she loved taking care of her cats and dogs, as well as tending to her garden. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her, but they will cherish all of their amazing memories of her always.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby W. Reynolds; parents, L.R. & Sybil Archer Ryals; and son-in-law, Donnie Boyd. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sherry W. Boyd; two grandchildren, Michele (Brent) Boswell and Don (Tonya) Boyd; three great-grandchildren, Paige Boswell, Amanda Boyd, and Clay (Tori) Boyd; great-great-granddaughter, AnneRenee Boyd; and her sister, Kathy (Wayne) Boutwell.
The family of Mrs. Reynolds would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care she received at both Country Place Memory Care in Greenville and Orchard Rehabilitation & HealthCare System.
They request that any memorial donations be made to the Panola Cemetery Fund, ℅ Debbie McGough, 2275 Cook Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042.
