Dartha Jo "Dot" Kennedy

KENNEDY, Mrs. Dartha Jo “Dot”, age 73, a resident of Luverne, died Thursday, July 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Michael B. Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. A private Requiem Mass for the family will then be conducted at the Alpha and Omega Church in Luverne. Mrs. Kennedy is preceded in death by her parents, Elder Paul & Guyzell Rhodes. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jerry A. Kennedy; two children, Derek Kennedy and Gail Kennedy; two sisters, Sandra Rhodes Stagner and Rhonda Rhodes (Ray) Cook; her brother, James “Jim” Paul (Susan) Rhodes; her aunt, Annette Moseley; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Paul Stagner, Frank Stagner, Joey Cook, Heath Cook, Kris Blackmon, Brent Kennedy, Cameron Yates, Mike Daniels, and Russ Kennedy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 am until service time.
