David Harlan Cohen, Sr.

COHEN, Mr. David H. Sr., 73, a resident of Luverne, AL died Sunday, May 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11 AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mallone Chandler and Rev. Jud Flint officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral of Luverne directing. Mr. Cohen is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Ann Cohen; his parents, Cecil and Wilma Cohen, Sr., and two brothers, C. P. Cohen, Jr. and Richard Cohen. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice Davis Cohen; seven children, Karen (Dana) North, Judy Cohen, John Holstun, David Cohen, Jr., Amy Gaines, Michael (Sara) Cohen, and Becky (Jud) Flint; eleven grandchildren; three sisters, Eleanor Kilcrease, Vicki Long, and Lori Cohen; and two brothers, Gary Cohen and Larry Cohen. Active pallbearers will be John Holstun, Dana North, John A. Gaines, Todd Jenkins, Kevin North, Michael Cohen, Ryan Gaines, and Jarrett Flint. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
