Mr. David Allen Dickey, 42, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Funeral services for Mr. Dickey will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 29th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Dickey was a jack of all trades, but excelled at installing telecommunication equipment in construction projects. In his free time, he loved watching movies, either in his home or the theater. He was also a foodie who never met a buffet he didn’t like, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling as much as possible. Above all, he was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. His family loved him back just as much, and they will sorely miss him for the rest of their days. They will cherish all the love and laughter they shared together, and he will continue to live on in their hearts and memories.
Mr. Dickey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Dickey and Mrs. & Mrs. Lamar Brunson, and a beloved aunt, Kathy Williams. He is survived by his father, Wayne Dickey; mother, Sharon Allen; brother, Dennis Dickey; niece, Julia Anna Dickey; nephew, Matthew Cameron Dickey; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Dennis Dickey, Gary Davis, Shannon Davis, Vern Clayton, Quinton June, and Terry Wright. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 - 11 AM.
