David Earl Powell

Mr. David Earl Powell, 68, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his son, David Lavon Powell; two grandchildren, Chase Powell and Denise Danielle Stewart; and his parents, T.J. Powell and Nell Williamson Moore. He is survived by his wife, Linda Griffin Powell; five children, Amanda (Mario) Powell, Evon Powell, and Rita Mount (Johnny) Cox, Earl Powell, and Jeffrey (Stacey) Lightsey; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Scotty (Lisa) Powell, Diann Norris, Wanda (Randy) Mathews, and Frances (Levon) Mitchell. The family will hold a memorial service at a later time.
