RICHBURG, Mr. David Alton, a resident of Goshen, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 66. Funeral services for Mr. Richburg will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 7, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Glover and Rev. Davis Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Richburg was born on July 1, 1952 to Alton and Virginia King Richburg. He was a lifelong resident of Crenshaw County and had retired from the Crenshaw County Department of Transportation.
Mr. Richburg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Brenda Stallings Richburg; his three sisters, Rita (J. Frank) Moore, Charlotte (Bob) Hamm, and Martha (Shawn) Farneman; brother, Mahlon (Mary) Richburg; mother-in-law, Ruby Stallings; two brothers-in-law, Dan (Judy) Stallings and David (Deborah) Stallings; two aunts, Ina Fuller and Voncile Nichols; uncle, Barnett (Edna) King; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Active pallbearers will be James Moore, George Richburg, Josh Farneman, Ken Williams, Mark Johnson, and Tory Moreland.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Goshen United Methodist Church of Goshen, Alabama. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 6, from 6 - 8pm.
