Dessie Williamson Mount

MOUNT, Mrs. Dessie Williamson, 88, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Funeral services for Mrs. Mount will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 24, at Fleetwood Baptist Church with Rev. David Richburg and Rev. W.O. Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Spears Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Mount was preceded in death by her husband, Watkins L. Mount, parents, Coley Stacey and Elenda King Williamson, two sisters, Ouida (Ben) Godwin and Lessie (Edlow) Godwin, and three brothers, King (Louise) Williamson, Shelby (Pansy) Williamson, and George (Evie) Williamson. She is survived by three children, Deborah (John) Blair, Dwight (Suzie) Mount, and Derrel (Lisa) Mount, six grandchildren, Crystal (Forrest) Caldwell, Jana (Jason) Ellis, Daniel Mount, Ethan Mount, Erika Mount, Audrey (Cruz) Corley, six great-grandchildren, Gus Galloway, John Grady Caldwell, Taylor Ellis, Eli Odom, Casen Stokley, and Lorelei Corley, special friend, Betty Baggett, and special nephew, Dexter Williamson. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2 – 3pm.
