Dimple Arlene Allen

June 19, 1943 — May 31, 2022

Luverne

Mrs. Dimple Wilkins Allen, 78, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 11th, at the Marchand residence in Luverne. The family will receive friends there starting at 1 PM.

Mrs. Allen was one of the sweetest and kindest women you could ever hope to meet. She had a genuine and generous soul that never hesitated to show how much she cared. While she may not have been as expressive in her words, Mrs. Allen displayed her love through small acts, like attending all of her children's school events, She was never one to mince words, however, and she was one of the few with whom people always knew where they stood. She could be depended on to be forthright and trustworthy, traits much needed in this world. She was a dedicated worker throughout her adult life, but enjoyed her quiet moments when she could shut out the world and immerse herself in a great book. She was also a huge Denver Broncos fan because she loved her some John Elway! Above all, however, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, William Dempsey & Maida Cornelia Hopkins Wilkins, and siblings, Lola Cornelia Wilkins Stubbs Adams and Alfred Ray Willkins. She is survived by her children, Valarie Burke, Dustin (Renee) Marchand, and Daniel Marchand; grandchildren, Conrad Ledig, Jake Ledig, Haley Burke, Lauren (Derek) Elschner, Riley Marchand, Lillian Marchand, Finley Marchand, and London Marchand; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Archie (Charlene) Wayne Wilkins Sr, Lynda Mae Lawlor, William (Donna Sue) Dempsey Wilkins Jr, and Sylvia Devonne Wilkins Gray; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
