Dixie Kaye Cornell

Mrs. Dixie Kaye Moore Cornell, 73, a resident of Goshen, Alabama and formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 15th, 2023.

Dixie dedicated her life to making a loving and comfortable home for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family as her greatest gift on this Earth. In her free time, she enjoyed planting beautiful flowers and tending to her garden. Dixie was always up for a game of cards as well, name your poison and she was your girl! Her greatest joy in life though was the time she spent with her family making memories to last a lifetime, especially with her beloved grandchildren.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Thomas Cornell Jr; son, Darrick Moore; parents, Herbert Charles & Ruth Mick Moore; and brothers, Charles Moore, Jack Moore, Randy Moore, and Marlin Mick. She is survived by her loving children, Misty (Andrew Van Vickle) Kayse and Aaron (Jill) Sharrer; grandchildren, Anthony Sharrer, Jayson (Brittany) Sharrer, Justyn Sharrer, Daymien Dudas, and Akierra Cornell; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Barbara McClellan and Terry Moore.
