Donald Keith Bane

Mr. Donald Keith Bane, 59, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Troy Regional Medical Center on Sunday, February 27th, 2022. Funeral services for Mr. Bane will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 2nd, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Dr. Mallone Chandler and Brother Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 - 2 PM.

Keith was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. His sole purpose in life was to encourage and bring joy to others. Those who were close to him would agree that he had a heart of gold. "Flash," as he was known to many, worked in the trucking industry for most of his career. This occupation allowed him to meet many people on a daily basis. They may have been a stranger for a moment, but a friend before they parted ways.

Keith found the good in every single day of his life, no matter what was going on. He gave God the glory for both the many blessings in his life and the situations that he was able to overcome. Because he dedicated so many hours to his job, Keith knew to cherish every moment he was able to spend with his family. In his free time, he loved to find a riverbank to fish from. He also enjoyed planting and working in his garden. To say he loved life is an understatement, and he taught that simple lesson to all who knew him. Though his loved ones wish they could have kept him here longer, they rejoice in the assurance that Keith is resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Donald Murphy Bane. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Leverette Bane; children, Matthew (Cheyenne) Bane, Timothy Bane, Mary Kate (Matt) Rogers, and Chloe (Brady) Davis; mother, Edna Broadway (Barnett) King; and sister, Debbie (Mark) Cook.

Active pallbearers will be Matthew Bane, Timothy Bane, Matt Rogers, Brady Davis, Bill Leverette, Jim Free, and Lance Galloway.
