Donald Milzie Lashley

Mr. Donald Milzie Lashley, 81, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Jackson Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2020.

Mr. Lashley proudly served with both the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. After his retirement from the Guard, he traveled around the country as a truck driver for Winn Dixie. He had a larger than life personality and could easily keep people entertained. He was also a devout Christian who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will certainly be missed by all those he leaves behind.

Mr. Lashley was preceded in death by his son, Donald James Lashley, his parents, James Monroe & Kate Underwood Lashley; and two siblings. He is survived by his two daughters, Dedee (Mike) Campbell and Donna Miller, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.
