Donald Payton Sampley

SAMPLEY, Mr. Donald Payton, 61, a resident of Luverne, Alabama died Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Patsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Perdue Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Sampley is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Emma Sampley, and two brothers, Billy Sampley and Ronnie Sampley. He is survived by five children, James H. “Bo” Sampley, Michelle (Collie) Harris, D.J. (Brittany) Sampley, Angela (Will) Hughes), and Krystal Odom; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Angeline (Robert) Frazier, Callie Hartin, and Irene Flowers; and two brothers, Lafayette (Ann) Sampley and Jerry (Brenda) Sampley. Active pallbearers will be Ray Frazier, Joey Sampley, David Sampley, Brandon Sampley, Brian Sampley, and Jerry Sampley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Kelley and Lamar Frazier. The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
