Donna Marie Tome

Donna Marie Tome, 58, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Sunday, July 13th, 2025. A memorial service has not been scheduled at this time.

Donna was a loving, kind, and caring soul who never failed to lead with her heart in every endeavor she undertook or interaction she had. She devoted her life to creating a loving and nurturing home in which to raise her family. In her free time, country music always spoke to her soul and she loved spending an afternoon at a favorite fishing hole. On Saturdays in the Fall, you could usually find her cheering on her beloved Alabama Crimson Tide to victory on the football field. Above all, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adore her family with every fiber of her being and she was loved in return beyond measure.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Noe & Bob Beckenbach; stepmother, Sharon Jacobs, brothers, Rick & Wayne Smelser; great-niece, Xada Burnett; and mother-in-law, Esther Tome. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert C. Tome; children, Heather (Jeremy) McCann, Shawn Greive, and Megan (Randy) Ainsworth; granddaughters, Brianna Stroud-Tome & Alyssa Ainsworth; great-grandchildren, Aspyn Salley & Aliyanna Martinez; sisters, Becky (Shawn) Hines, Bobbie (Shawn Widell) Thuis, and Bria Beckenbach; sister-in-law, Laura Smelser; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
