BOSWELL, Mrs. Doris Reeves, 88, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Funeral services for Mrs. Boswell will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 30, in Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Jones and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Boswell was preceded in death by her husband, W.I. “Bo” Boswell, son, Ivy Ray “Pee Wee” Boswell, mother, Clemmie Murle Reeves, father, Sam Reeves, two sisters, Gladys Boswell and Dolly Owens, and two brothers, Olin Reeves and Billy Reeves. She is survived by her two sons, Billy Ray (Elaine) Boswell and Clarence William (Eurtis) Boswell, four grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) Adams, Michael Boswell, Curtis Owens, and Dewayne (Tracey) Owens, five great-grandchildren, Kimberly (Alex) Boswell, Austin Boswell, John Michael Boswell, Layla Grace Adams, and Trey Harrison, great great-grandson, Logan Benbow, sister, Connie Hayes, two brothers, Thurman “Short” (Doris) Reeves and Bobby (Betty) Reeves, and sister-in-law, Agnes Reeves. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Edwards, Roger Dale Rogers, Timmy Boswell, Robert McGough, Austin Boswell, and Timmy Boswell, Jr. Greg McDouglad and James Bradley will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1 – 2 PM.
