Doris Moore Styron

Mrs. Doris Moore Styron, 94, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Andalusia Manor in Andalusia, Alabama on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Funeral services for Mrs. Styron will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 23rd, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Baggett officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Styron was a longtime member of Siloam Baptist Church. She epitomized the spirit of Christian generosity and love as she was always available to help anyone who needed it as much as she was able to do so, never expecting anything in return. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored her family more than anything else on earth. She showed sincere love and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her life. She will be greatly missed, but they are comforted that she has been reunited with her family in Heaven.

Mrs. Styron was preceded in death by her husband, Barnna “B.O.” Styron; their son, Terry O. Styron; her parents, Edgar & Lois May Moore; and five siblings, Kendrick Moore, Bill Moore, Rex Moore, Louise M. Gipson, and her twin, Delois Moore. She is survived by three children, Martha S. (Bob) Pittman, Larry Styron, and Robbie (Francine) Styron; four grandchildren, Jenna S. (Matt) Wilcox, Chance (Whitney) Styron, Walker Styron, and Lauren Babcock; four great-grandchildren, Jax & Sailor Wilcox and Ember & Ridge Styron; four sisters, Sybil Tanner, Jewel Killough, Erma King, and Ginger Moore; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Moore and Sadie Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Lewis Gipson, Carey Stallworth, John D. Stallworth, John King, Don Lunsford, and Wes Bonner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 - 2 PM.
